Anee Shah is a Massachusetts based fine artist. She grew up in India before moving to Boston for her Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Upon graduation with a thesis, she moved on to the corporate biotech world. As the sense of unfulfillment grew, she left her decade long cushy job to pursue her creative interests and stay home with her two littles. She started Anee Rabbit, a surface pattern design business in the summer of 2020 and went on to license her work for apparel, baby goods, kitchenware and more.
In 2023, she decided to pivot to fine art to follow her ultimate joy of putting paint on canvas. Anee is self-taught in art and in business. She gardens and lives in the suburbs of Boston with her family.
About my work:
“I paint with oils using gestural brushstrokes with emphasis on creating texture and mood evoking scenery. My fine art, be it landscapes or florals is rooted in nostalgia and takes the viewer on a journey back to themselves.”

More about myself!
I’m an old soul, lover of simple things like sun on my face, walking barefoot in the garden, hearing the birds sing, cozying up and reading an actual book, sipping on my matcha looking at the trees, balmy summer nights and gazing at the stars.
Love to travel and explore new places, culture and food but equally love coming back home, to my people, to a sense of belonging, to familiarity, to a routine, to my roots.
I’m a recovering perfectionist, I’m learning to let things be and let things go. Motherhood has taught me to being ok with a little chaos.
I believe in God, higher power, universe, I look for signs.
This sums it up for me —
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?”
